Redefining Success
A Journey of Growth and Determination
My name is Menna Emad, and I currently work in sales and customer support at Momken, a platform dedicated to supporting and empowering women.
After graduating, I had the opportunity to work with international companies, which helped me build a solid foundation of experience and knowledge. I’ve always believed in the power of continuous learning — and that belief became especially important during a five-year career gap.
Although circumstances prevented me from continuing in the workforce during that time, I never saw it as a wasted period. I made it a personal mission to keep learning every single day. I read, took every course I could access, and eventually returned to my first passion: fashion design. This journey led me to discover the Education for Employment (EFE) scholarship. Despite its demanding schedule and strict requirements, I committed fully and gained invaluable skills that reignited my confidence and drive. That experience reminded me that nothing is impossible when you have a goal and the determination to reach it.
The EFE program opened many doors for me — one of which was Momken, a place that welcomed me without judgment. Unlike other companies where interviews often focused on my career gap with questions like “What were you doing during that time?” or “Can you balance work and personal responsibilities?”, Momken chose to see my potential and gave me a chance.
Today, I stand stronger than ever, proud of my journey and the resilience I’ve built. Every challenge taught me something new, and I’m more ready than ever to take on what comes next.
