Job Description:
- Document HAZOP, What-If, FMEA, LOPA, or other PHA session discussions in real-time using PHA software or standardized templates.
- Ensure all nodes, deviations, causes, consequences, safeguards, and recommendations are clearly and accurately recorded.
- Maintain consistency and traceability of records throughout the PHA process.
- Prepare and format draft and final reports for review and approval.
- Coordinate with the PHA facilitator to ensure smooth workflow and documentation accuracy.
- Manage version control and secure storage of PHA documentation.
- Attend pre-study and post-study meetings to understand scope and assist in report finalization.
- Ensure that the final output meets client/company documentation standards.
Requirements:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, safety, or a technical discipline (preferred)
- [1–3+] years of experience in process safety, depending on seniority level..
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Previous experience as a PHA/HAZOP scribe or in a support role during safety reviews.
- Familiarity with HAZOP methodology and PHA terminology.
- Proficiency in PHA software tools (e.g., PHA-Pro, PHAWorks, BowtieXP) or Excel/Word documentation if used.
- Excellent typing speed, attention to detail, and note-taking ability.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
