Business Development Director - MOMKEN FOR HER .. 12-year gap.
I’m Heba Nerhal, the Business Development Director at MOMKEN FOR HER, an online platform designed to empower women who have been away from the workforce for some time. Our mission is to support them in reentering the professional world through mentoring, online courses, and connecting them with our network of partners. I can personally relate to this mission, as my own journey is a classic example of the very challenge we aim to address.
After a 12-year break due to family travel and commitments, I took the leap to return to work as Business Development Director at MOMKEN FOR HER. This shift in my career was both exciting and challenging. It gave me the chance to rebuild my professional life, expand my network, and acquire new skills along the way.
My previous experience in procurement, planning, and logistics for global companies has provided me with a strong understanding of how to optimize operations and drive efficiency. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of leading training programs across the GCC and the Middle East. Additionally, completing the "Train the Trainer" program which was a key milestone that helped sharpen my leadership abilities and further prepared me for the challenges of my current role.
If you’re someone returning to work after a break, my advice would be to trust in the skills you already possess, stay open to learning, and be flexible as you navigate new opportunities. Take full advantage of available resources to fill in any knowledge gaps and stay committed to your goals. With the right mindset, support, and determination, you can make a successful transition back into the workforce, feeling both confident and capable.
