Redefining Success
What really made a difference was......
My name is Hagar Essam, I’m 20 years old, and a student at the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels.
Since my first year in college, I’ve had a dream of working in the tourism field, and I’ve always
imagined myself as a successful and influential person in it.
At first, I didn’t know where to start or how to prepare myself for the job market. Then I got an
incredible opportunity that changed my way of thinking and helped me take the first step toward
my future: the Career Direction program by Education For Employment–Egypt.
Through this program, I learned a lot:
• How to write a professional CV that reflects my skills, even without much experience.
• How to be fully prepared for job interviews and speak with confidence and
professionalism.
• I developed my soft skills, such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and time
management.
What really made a difference was the change I started to see in myself. I became more
confident, and I learned how to deal with people in a more mature way, which helped me both in
my studies and daily life.
After the program, I began participating in student activities and conferences, and I had the
chance to meet professionals in the field. That added to my experience and made me even more
passionate about pursuing my dream.
Now, as I approach graduation, I truly feel ready for the job market. My goal is to start my career
in the tourism field and continue learning and developing myself so I can be a successful and
impactful part of it.
I believe that success doesn’t come overnight, but every small step I take brings me closer to my
dream.
